The Bee Pasture at HF: 6 hives facing east with a woodland edge providing a windbreak and shade from afternoon sun.  Distant from the everyday activities at the barn and chicken coop but within sight as we look down the hill.  A pond nearby for water source.

Hive Design:  Five of the hives are the 10 frame boxes designed in 1852 by an Ohio Congregational Minister named Langstroth AND one 8 frame hive that is our favorite only because it is a lighter load to lift when checking the bees!

Hive components and frames can be ordered completely assembled or in parts for your own construction pleasure.
