This is Tatsoi, a green from the mustard family.  Grown from non patented, untreated, open pollinated seed, it has the opportunity to reseed itself generation after generation.  Adapting over time to the conditions at Hedgerow Farm.  This concept is referred to as dynamic farming.  We can also save the seed and replant where we want.  or give it away to friends.  Breaking no laws in the process.  However, with patented seeds there can be no saving, no dynamic farming, and certainly no sharing of seeds.  Those acts of nature and friendship are illegal with patented seeds.  We choose non patented, open pollinated seeds from folks like Wild Garden Seed who write:
